Experience Swift and Easy Application Process With ABBA's 26 years of Healthcare Recruitment Expertise

Updated: Oct 21

Finding the right opportunity, especially abroad, can often feel frightening. While there are plenty of job search engines like LinkedIn, Indeed, and Jobstreet that could help you find the right job match, this method often takes a lot of time and can be quite draining. This is where recruitment agencies like ABBA Personnel Services Inc. come into play, offering personalized solutions to connect you with the right employers overseas.

With over two decades of recruitment expertise, ABBA has established itself as the country's leading recruitment agency for Filipino healthcare workers abroad. As a DMW-licensed agency and recipient of the most acclaimed POEA Award of Excellence, ABBA is a top choice for many applicants. But it's not just these recognitions that set ABBA apart; our tailored, tried, and tested application process also ensures a smooth and exceptional experience for every applicant we have.

Step 2: Initial Screening and Pre-qualification

After you've applied, an ABBA Recruiter will begin with the initial screening. Those with a preferred vacancy will be pre-qualified by a recruiter based on the minimum qualifications and the requirements set by the employer. For those who don't have a preferred vacancy, your qualifications will be assessed by an ABBA officer, who will recommend you to the recruiter with the best matching vacancy.

You will be pre-qualified by the recruiter through one or more of the following methods: face-to-face interviews, verification of your submitted documents, and an exam or test required for the position you're applying for.

Once you pass this stage, the recruiter will provide you with further details about the vacancy, including the job description, compensation package, and employer background. If you choose to push through, you will then move on to the next step, which is the Final Screening and Employer Interview.

If you do not pass the pre-qualification, there's no need to worry. You can still be recommended to another Recruiter with a vacancy that may better suit you. Because here in ABBA, we don't believe in 'unqualified applicants.' Instead, we focus on finding the right match for you.

Step 3: Final Screening and Employer Interview

The next step in the process is the final screening with the employer. This may involve one or more of the following:

  • a phone or video interview;

  • a face-to-face interview;

  • sending your CV and other relevant documents to the employer and;

  • possibly an exam or test required for the position.

To ensure a smooth application process, here are some reminders for applicants at this stage:

  • Prepare thoroughly for the final screening.

  • Acknowledge your recruiter's support. They will guide you on what to emphasize during the interview and assist with any required forms or tasks.

  • Keep communication lines open. Your recruiter will remind you of deadlines and may check in with you from time to time via phone or email.

  • Follow and trust your recruiter. Their guidance will help ensure the final screening proceeds as smoothly as possible.

Step 4: Job Offer

Upon approval from the employer, you will receive a detailed Offer Letter and Job Contract from your recruiter. This contract will specify the final details of the role, including the job description, working hours, compensation and benefits, as well as any applicable rules and conditions.

If you are not approved by the employer, don't be discouraged. Again, you may still be referred to another recruiter for a vacancy that better matches your skills and qualifications.

Step 5: Requirement Processing

After you accept the job offer and sign the contract, your recruiter will provide you with a briefing about the following:

  • Work Destination. Information about the location, culture, customs, and traditions.

  • Employer Description. Details on the location, facilities, terms and conditions of employment, accommodation, transportation, uniforms, dress code, and new arrival training or orientation.

  • Processing Requirements. Information on medical exams, licensure exams, credential verification, visa issuance, and the Pre-Department Orientation Seminar (PDOS).

  • Cost, Timeframe, and Deadlines. A summary of associated costs and important timeframes and deadlines.

Following the initial briefing, your recruiter will keep in touch with you to monitor your progress in meeting the requirements and will encourage you to complete them as soon as possible.

Step 6: Deployment

As the final step of our recruitment process, you will be invited to a Final Briefing, typically a few days before your flight date. During this briefing, the recruiter will provide details on the following:

  • Ticket Details and Baggage Allowance.

  • OEC and Visa Details.

  • What to Pack. Guidance on items to bring in your luggage.

  • Instructions for Departure Day.

  • Meet and Greet Details. Information on how and where you will be met upon arrival.

  • Visa Collection. Instructions for collecting your visa in the destination country.

  • Accommodation and Transportation. Details about your initial accommodation and transportation arrangements.

  • HR Report Date.

  • Emergency Contact Numbers. Contact numbers for departments in case of emergency.

On your flight date, your ABBA Recruiter will monitor your flight status and update you on any necessary actions if there are delays or changes to your schedule.

Upon arrival in the destination country, a representative from your employer will meet you at the airport. This representative will assist you with accommodation and transportation for the day and will help you settle in. Feel free to stay in touch with your recruiter with any questions or concerns throughout your contract.

For years, ABBA Personnel Services Inc. has continued and will continue to refine our application process to ensure an up-to-date, efficient, and seamless experience for our valued applicants.
