  • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy. You must have completed a Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy, with a minimum two (2) years duration of the program. This will ensure that you have the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively assess, treat, and care for patients with respiratory conditions.

  • Current National License as Respiratory Therapist. You must hold a valid license to practice. This license will guarantee that you meet the minimum competency standards set by the regulatory board. 

  • At least One (1) Year Work Experience as a Respiratory Therapist. Our client, SSMC, prefers interested candidates to have at least one year of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist. This will verify that you have the necessary practical skills, ability, and confidence to handle the responsibilities of the role in a clinical setting. 

  • Must be Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PLS). You must hold current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Life Support (PLS) issued by a recognized institution. These certifications ensure that you are trained to respond to emergencies and equipped with appropriate life-saving techniques. This will reflect your capability to provide immediate care in a variety of healthcare situations.

Charge Nurse and Cardiovascular Technologist Vacancies 

Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. 


Available Areas:

- Charge Nurse (Medical, MICU, Cath Lab, Pediatrics)

- Senior Charge Nurse

- Senior Cardiovascular Technologist  (Grade M4)

- Cardiovascular Technologist  (Grade M3)

- ECG Technician (Grade M2)

- Clinical Support - Anaesthesia

- Clinical Psychology

- Clinical Social Worker

- Dietitian 1

- Respiratory Therapist

- Supervisor Physiotherapy


QUALIFICATIONS

For Charge Nurse:

- At least 6  years post-license in tertiary hospital experience with at least 100-bed capacity

- 2 years experience as team leader

- Not more than 6 months of work gap

- Experience in JCI-accredited hospitals is an advantage

- With Middle East experience


For Senior Cardiovascular Technologist  (Grade M4)

- Must be a graduate of an accredited or allied health specialized program in Cardiovascular Technology of at least 2 years syllabus

- At least 4 years relevant experience (Cathlab, Vascular, Echocardiography, ECG technologist)


For Cardiovascular Technologist  (Grade M3) 

- At least 5 years relevant experience (Cath lab, Vascular, Echocardiography, ECG Technologist)


For ECG Technician (Grade M2) 

- Must have High School Certificate plus certification from an Allied Health program of not less than 1 year

- Must be qualified in a related allied health profession plus on-the-job training by an EEG supervisor or Neurophysiologist 

- At least 6 months relevant experience in a hospital setting 

- Must have at least 1 year on the job training


For Clinical Support - Anaesthesia

- Must have a degree in Bsc in Anesthesia

- Must be a Registered Nurse with specialized training in anesthesia techniques and equipment 

- Must be a Registered Respiratory technician with specialized training in anesthetic techniques and equipment

- Must have Current National License

- At least 2 years work experience in active Anesthesia Department


For Clinical Psychology

- Must at least have a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology plus five years’ experience in a clinical

setting

- Must be currently licensed as Clinical Psychologist by the Department of Health Abu Dhabi

- A PhD in Clinical Psychology or other related clinical specialty is desirable

- At least 5 years experience in the field of clinical psychology, dealing with cases of psychopathology, in a clinical setting. Training can be counted of the five years if a valid training certificate in a recognized institution was submitted.

-  At least 2 years experience in conducting psychotherapy with adults, adolescents,

pediatric and/or geriatric patients.

- Must have a stronghold of psychopathology diagnosis, assessment and intervention plans


For Clinical Social Worker

- Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or equivalent and Post-graduate degree in Social Work (e.g. Masters or higher)

- Must have previous experience with direct patient care in a medical/healthcare setting


For Dietitian 1

- Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Dietetics / Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics/ Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics / Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a major in Nutrition + Post-graduate diploma or Master in Dietetics

- At least 3 years work experience as clinical dietitian in an acute care facility



For Respiratory Therapist

- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in respiratory therapy or Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy (minimum two (2) years course duration)

- Must have Current National License as Respiratory Therapist

- At least 1 year work  experience as a respiratory therapist

- Must be Certified in Basic Life support (BLS) with advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PLS)


For Supervisor Physiotherapy

- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy

- Must be a Graduate from an accredited Diploma course in Physiotherapy, (With at least 3 year’s syllabus) Preferred: post graduate studies (academic or professional) in a specific sub specialties and Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Services or in related clinical degree or in Healthcare field or management or administration field

- At Least 10 years relevant experience including minimum of 2 years of demonstrated leadership
